Efficient final or intermediate layers with
Palladium baths / palladium electrolytes
Our palladium bath is a weak alkaline electrolyte that produces high-gloss, white and decorative surface layers down to 0.5µm. The JE42V is particularly suitable as a barrier layer and is often used if the final coating is to consist of rhodium.

Alkaline electrolytes with palladium baths
Palladium electrolytes are weak alkaline electrolytes from the series of light platinum metals. They are similar in color to rhodium or ruthenium. They also deposit high-gloss white surface layers that are particularly suitable for decorative purposes.
Our palladium bath JE42 D deposits high-gloss, bright palladium layers.
It is suitable both as a final layer for decorative coatings in the jewelry and eyewear industry and as a diffusion barrier for intermediate layers.
The JE42 V palladium bath, on the other hand, is suitable as a pre-palladium diffusion barrier or as a barrier layer for decorative applications. This palladium bath also deposits bright, high-gloss surface layers.
